Pastoral Musings

Last week I preached about a prayer I’m inviting us all to pray: “Lord, unsettle us to the point of dependence upon you so it leads us to action for you.”

On a personal level, that has been the case this week for me. I have found myself trapped between this unsettledness and my desire to take control. I’m finding it’s a good place to be. It has led me this week to stop to pray that my heart would align with God’s and see his movement in my life.

I haven’t had any major breakthroughs yet, so I’m trusting this space as I wait. I’m hopeful you have begun to pray this alongside me. I believe it will help take us into new arenas together.
